 Founded in 1976 to provide independent brokerages with a powerful marketing and referral program for luxury listings, the Sotheby's Realty Network was designed to connect the finest independent real estate companies to the most prestigious clientele in the world. Sotheby's International Realty Affiliates LLC is a subsidiary of Realogy Holdings Corp. (NYSE: RLGY), a global leader in real estate franchise and provider real estate brokerage, relocation and settlement services. In February 2004 Realogy entered into a long-term strategic alliance with Sotheby's, the operator of the auction house. The agreement  provided for the licensing of the Sotheby's International Realty name and the development of a full franchise system. Affiliations in the system are granted only to the brokerages and individuals meeting strict qualifications. Sotheby's International Realty Affiliates LLC supports it's affiliates with a host of operational, marketing, recruiting, educational and business development resources. Franchise affiliates also benefits from an association with the venerable Sotheby's action house, established in 1744.
 
 

ONE | Sotheby's International Market Centers have already proven to be the real estate companies of choice in their respective markets. The Strategic Alliances Division’s goal is to support our Market Centers to become the “full service" companies of choice with the full complement of services in order to support associates in serving their clients at the highest level possible through relationships in Mortgage, Title, Closing, Home Warranty and Property and Casualty Insurance. As the second largest real estate franchise in the United States (REAL Trends, April 2011), ONE| Sotheby's International wields incredible influence and leverage in the real estate industry. The Strategic Alliances Division is drawing upon that influence to identify best in class providers and negotiate unique and tailored solutions for our associates’ clients, our associates and Market Centers. In addition, Strategic Alliances Division is developing the systems, models, training and education that Market Centers can use in order to get the most out of their strategic alliance relationships regardless of who their relationships are with.
